Rapper Meek Mill Responds to Gay Speculation Sparked by Diddy Lawsuit (and Sends 'Love' to the LGBTQ+ Community)

Hip-hop artist and Philadelphia native Meek Mill has responded to speculation that he and rapper Diddy had sex – a rumor sparked by redacted names in a suit accusing Diddy of sexual assault.
Mill posted a series of tweets on Feb. 28 in which he decried the speculation and declared that "No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity" because if he did "the whole place" would "get flipped," UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported.
In another tweet, the rapper asserted, "I would trash any celebrity if they tried wild move on me.... No picks literally go crazy on them that is all!"
Complex detailed, "In a new sexual harassment and assault lawsuit against Diddy brought forth by Rodney 'Lil Rod' Jones, there are two notable names that were redacted. One of those individuals is identified as 'a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.'"
"Speculation swirled around Meek because he is, in fact, a rapper from Philadelphia and dated Nicki for two years," Complex went on to note. "Even though Meek checks off these two boxes, it still cannot be assumed that he is the redacted name."
That Grape Juice.net relayed that "Diddy allegedly claimed to have had homosexual relations with" other men in a "disclosure allegedly made to 'entice' the Lil Rod to 'engage in homosexuality,'" according to Jones' suit.
"DJ Akademiks ran with the assumption that Meek was the mystery person and the rapper took exception to the accusation," Complex said.
In his series of tweets, Meek warned, "Akademiks didn't I tell you stop playing with my name...idk what ima do when I actually see you! It's gonna have a combination to it tho!" Meek responded.
He also offered "One love to the gay people" in a tweet that declared, "that juicy pu#%sy do it for meeeeee".
"I done ran red lights to get that feeling," the tweet added.
Despite sending "love" to the LGBTQ+ community, Meek's tweets suggested that the implication he might have had gay sex was a "hate campaign" intended to "destroy" him even as he was about to release new music.
Meek also declared that "snitching" and "gay" are two slanders used to target successful artists like himself, tweeting "we generating 100's of millions from music it's not a coincidence we all gay and snitches .... They are powering this stuff even if it's fake! The goal is to disrupt the hip hop community...."
Meek also inveighed against the viral spread of the rumors online, saying that "blog site[s] enhanced that post top make me seem gay" in an "effort to destroy the image of black leaders!"
But Meek vowed to triumph:
