Are Beyoncé and Gaga About to Give Us the 'Telephone' Sequel We've Been Waiting For?

Sharp-eyed fans are putting the clues together and coming up with a theory that Beyoncé and Lady Gaga are preparing to spring a "Telephone" sequel sometime soon.

UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported that both recoding artists "attended Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on Sunday which saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 25-22," and it was "during the game" that Beyoncé "announced her 'Renaissance: Act II' album and also dropped two new singles for her fans titled 'Texas Hold 'Em' and '16 Carriages.'"

Beyoncé's new songs bowed "not long after Lady Gaga also teased that she was working on new music last month," the Mail added.

Fans flashed back to the promising message at the end of the "Telephone" video, which dropped almost 14 years ago: "To Be Continued."

But how do we get "Telephone" part two out of that? Just Jared broke it all down, noting a cluster of significant dates and other signs.

"The Super Bowl and Beyoncé's surprise drop happened on February 11th," Just Jared detailed. "In the beginning of the 'Telephone' video, Gaga was booked in jail on February 11th."

In another clue from the iconic video, "Gaga and Beyoncé drive through the desert in the middle of nowhere, and in Beyoncé's teaser for Act II, she can be seen driving through the desert," the writeup noted.

Then there are the titles of the two new songs Beyoncé dropped – "Texas Hold 'Em" being possibly a callback to Gaga's "Poker Face" and the lyric, "I wanna hold 'em like they do in Texas, please," while "16 Carriages," fans spotted, shares that number with the jersey Gaga wore to the Superbowl, which was emblazoned with "16."

Gaga also posted a photo of herself at the sports event in which she's saluting with two fingers.

But the most incontrovertible piece of evidence? "In 'Telephone,' the phone service Virgin Mobile was shown multiple times, and Beyoncé starred in the Verizon Wireless Super Bowl commercial," Just Jared observed. "Plus, Beyoncé in a phone commercial?"

Well spotted! Now we'll see if the furious sleuthing is followed by that long-promised continuation of the video, which took the form of a grindhouse-style mini movie and featured a jailbreak with sapphic overtones between Gaga and Beyoncé. Refresh your memory by watching the video below.
