North Truro resident and Provincetown artist Shania LeClaire Riviere has set dates for the #ARTONSHANIA 2016 Walking Art Installation which will take place every other Friday during the Provincetown Gallery Stroll beginning June 3, 2016 through September 9, 2016. The galleries participating this year are Four Eleven Gallery, Frederick Studio Provincetown, The Schoolhouse Gallery, and Woodman/Schimko Gallery.

The "drag fusion" creations that Shania brings to the stroll during the summer have also been the inspiration for paintings by five fine artists in Provincetown: Cassandra, Kenneth Lockwood, Liz Carney, Allison Haider and, most recently, Jo Hay, who has painted a large scale portrait (8 feet by 6 feet) entitled "Shania."

This spring, 8 Dyer Hotel, which was called "[A] sophisticated and relaxing addition to the guesthouse offerings [of Provincetown]" by The New York Times, will host Shania and eight of his pieces from his "My Weekend In Provincetown" series. The event is to be titled "8@8" and will be a premiere reception for the series. This is a black and white series of digital drawings created from his lauded photography series, "Strangers."

The first piece from "My Weekend In Provincetown," titled "Red Shack," was featured for a month at Room 68 and then went into the fall show at The Fine Arts Work Center, where it sold immediately. His feature piece from this series, titled "Pool," is being entered into the winter juried show at PAAM (Provincetown Art Association and Museum).

Following the 8 Dyer one night event, the "My Weekend In Provincetown" series will have a solo show curated by James Frederick, owner and artist of Frederick Studio Provincetown at Whaler's Wharf, Third Floor, 237 Commercial Street from June 23 until June 29, 2016.

Shania graced the cover of International magazine Et Alors? in December. The quarterly magazine supports the creation, research and development of projects that explore diversity, gender, queer and LGBTQ topics on an artistic, cultural and intellectual level.
