EDGE Rewind: Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey Kiss at Lakeside While Filming 'Fellow Travelers'
EDGE is reaching into its archive and sharing some of our favorite stories from the past.
Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey were spotted sharing a passionate kiss and some lakeside frolicking in Canada while filming the upcoming Showtime miniseries, "Fellow Travelers."
If Bomer and Bailey looked very much in love, it's just a testament to their chemistry as two out actors, reported Daily Mail. If the photos aren't clear enough, Bomer and Bailey will play romantic leads in the thriller based off of a novel of the same name by Thomas Mallon.
"In 'Fellow Travelers,' Bailey will portray Fordham University graduate Tim Laughlin, who enters a volatile romance with Matt's character Hawkins Fuller in 1950s Washington D.C.," Daily Mail reports. They begin a whirlwind romance just as a war is declared on "subversives and sexual deviants," initiating one of the darkest periods in 20th century American history.
Over 40 years, the pair will reportedly continue to cross paths in the series, including during the 1960s Vietnam War, 1970s disco and drugs era, and the 1980s AIDS crisis.
Showtime recently announced more additions to the cast of the series in Allison Williams as Lucy Smith, Will Brill, Chris Bauer, Erin Neufer, Matt Visser, and Christine Horne, in recurring roles.
Bailey was noticeably sporting a retro mustache and long hair for the outing, while Bomer was in retro '70s-era swim shorts. At one point, Bailey even did a cartwheel just to celebrate how smitten he was in Bomer's company.
Bomer married his publicist partner Simon in 2011, a year before publicly coming out. They have three children together.
Bailey is thought to be dating fellow actor James Ellis, and the pair have been spotted numerous times together.
